Perry Sackett, son of Almeron Sacket and Rachel White, was born in VirginiaG in 1817.1 He married first in Pike County, IllinoisG, on 24 December 1839, Ellen "Nellie" Cole.2 She was born in VirginiaG in about 1817.3 He married second in Adams County, IllinoisG, on 20 October 1877, Mary Ann (___) Cooper.4
     In 1850 Perry was living at Four S Four W Township, Pike County, IllinoisG, and was recorded in the census as Perry Sackett, a farmer, aged 33 and born in Virginia. Living with him were his wife Ellen, 33, and their children, William, 9, Alicia M, 8, Elizabeth J, 4, and Matilda E, aged two.5
