Robert L Sackett, son of Azariah Sackett and Elizabeth ___, was born in Huntingdon County, PennsylvaniaG, on 30 April 1821.1 He died aged 73 in Salem, Clearfield County, PennsylvaniaG, on 28 December 18942 and was buried at Salem Methodist Cemetery, DuBois, Clearfield CountyG.1 He married in Huntingdon CountyG Sarah Anne Jackson.3 Sarah was born in PennsylvaniaG on 15 April 1832.4 She died aged 66 in Salem, Clearfield County, PennsylvaniaG, on 26 August 18984 and was buried at Salem Methodist CemeteryG.2
In 1860 Robert was living at Warriors Mark, Huntingdon County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded in the census as Robert Sacket, a miner, aged 32 [actually 39] and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him were his wife Sarah, 30, and their children, William, 10, George, 8, Laura, 6, Frank, 4, and Ada, aged two.5
Robert was listed in the Civil War draft in June 1863. He was aged 40 and was living at Warriors Mark, Huntingdon County, PennsylvaniaG. He was employed as a laborer.6
In 1870 he was living at Warriors Mark, Huntingdon County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as R L Sackett, a laborer, aged 48 and born in Pennsylvania. Living with him were his wife Sarah, 38, and their children, George, 19, Frank, 14, Ada, 12, John, 10, Harry, 6, and Blair, aged two.7
In 1880 he was living at Front Street, Sligo, Clarion County, PennsylvaniaG, and was recorded as Robert L Sackett, a laborer, aged 59. Living with him were his wife Sarah, 48, and their children, Blair, 12, and Flora, aged eight.8
