4452. Dudley P. Sackett, 1842-1906, of Fairmont, Martin County, Minn., son of (1781) John Sackett and Jane E. Brown, was married in 1876 to Ida Curtis, daughter of Thomas S. Curtis and Mary Campbell. He enlisted during the civil war in Co. B, 2d Regiment, Minnesota Vols., but was soon mustered out by reason of disease contracted in the service. He was superintendent of schools in Martin County from 1878 to 1887, and held several town offices.
