Beverly Sackett Obituary

HERMITAGE, PA (MyValleyTributes) - Beverly Sackett, of Hermitage, passed away Saturday morning, November 24, 2018, in Grove Manor, Grove City. She was 78.
Mrs. Sackett was born July 19, 1940, in Providence, Rhode Island, a daughter of Albert and Margaret Russo.
Beverly was the owner of the former Bev-Ann Jewelry store in downtown Sharon. Later, she was employed for many years at the former Hills department store, Hermitage, where she was a front line supervisor and worked in the office. Beverly retired from First National Bank data center in Hermitage.
She was an active member at First Presbyterian Church, Sharon. Beverly enjoyed volunteering and being a greeter at the church.
For several years, she was active in the Kennedy Catholic Booster Club. Beverly enjoyed reading, traveling and crocheting.
Her husband, Gerald R. Sackett, Sr., whom she married May 9, 1959, passed away August 28, 1995.
She is survived by three sons, Gerald R. Sackett, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Niles, Ohio, Michael L. Sackett and his wife, Sandra, of Hermitage and Mark A. Sackett and his wife, Lisa, Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Ryan, Michael (Patricia), Shawn (Brianna), Justin, Zachary and Alaina Sackett; three great-grandchildren, Josh, Cailin, Clark and one sister, Phyllis Giampietro and her husband, Geno, of Rhode Island.
In addition to her husband, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Jennie Fluery.

Calling hours will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2018, in J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1090 East State Street, Sharon and from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in First Presbyterian Church, 600 East State Street, Sharon.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, in First Presbyterian Church, with Reverend Dr. Glenn Hink, senior pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place at St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage.
