Charles Sackett Hodgman, Obituary
Charles, 88, of Chelsea, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at the Chelsea Retirement Community in Chelsea, MI. They had lived in the area for the past four years, coming from Cornwall, Connecticut. [His wife, Marjorie, passed away on November 21, at the same place.] Charles was the son of Alfred and Beatrice (Sackett) Hodgman.
They were married on May 7, 1959 at Christ Church Methodist in New York City. Charles was in the National Guard Reserve, but he spent his entire working career in international and domestic marketing with General Motors, retiring in 1987 as Director-Marketing, International Export Sales.
Surviving are their children: Cindy Everitt (Bobby Adams) of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Pete (Sherry) Hodgman of Dexter, MI; Charles' children: Nancy (Brad) Rabinowitz of Burlington, Vermont, and Charles (Leslee) Hodgman of Millis, Massachusetts; and five grandchildren: Heather Balanda, Brian Balanda, Craig Everitt, Cameron Hodgman, and Ryan Hodgman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Marjorie’s brother, Charles Stradella, and one grandson, Ian MacInnes Hodgman.
Services were private and interment took place at a later date at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
