"GANS, HARRIET BROWNFIELD, MRS., died Friday, October 23, at 12:40 p.m. in the Uniontown Hospital of complications. She was the daughter of the late William N. and Elizabeth Sackett Brownfield, pioneer residents of Fayette county. She is survived by her husband, Harry B. Gans, and two sons, First Lt. Harry B. Gans, Jr., and Private James L. Gans, both serving in the U. S. Army, and one granddaughter, Mary Harriet; also survived by two brothers, B. B. Brownfield of Los Angeles, Calif., and S. S. Brownfield of Ligonier, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. J. W. Madore, Mrs. Levi Brown, Mrs. Lucy Jeffries of Uniontown and Mrs. J. G. Fullman of Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Central Christian Church, the Women's Missionary Society and the Col. Andrew Lynn Chapter of the D. A. R. Friends will be received at the home, 88 Lincoln street. Funeral arrangements will be announced later."
