Stanley V Sackett obituary
A former resident of Leamington, Stan Sackett went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, November 21, 2011 at the age of 93 at the Lambton Meadowview Villa in Petrolia. He was born in Toronto and was the son of the late William and Mary (nee Jackson) Sackett. Beloved husband of the late Rossi “Dee” Sackett (nee Wootton) (2006). Dear father to Ted Sackett (Sylvia), Nina Battiston (Richard) and Pamela Bilinski (Rick). Proud grandfather to 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his great-granddaughter Samantha (2003) as well as all of his brother’s and sisters. Stan was a veteran of the Second World War and his service will be remembered. He was a life Deacon at First Baptist Church in Leamington. Memorial visitation to be held at the Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell St. Leamington (519-326-2631) on Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Michael Sealy officiating. Memorial donations to honour Stan’s life can be made to the Leamington Salvation Army Food Bank and would be appreciated by the family.
