Funeral service for Louise White, 81, who died Wednesday, January 15, at Pinecrest Home, Kenora, was held January 18 in the chapel of Moffat Funeral Home. Rev. George Micklethwaite officiated, and interment was in the family plot, Dryden Cemetery.
Born and educated in England, Mrs. White moved to Toronto and to Bedworth near Dryden in 1909. She married William White June 8, 1912, moving to Dryden in 1936.
Mrs. White was a member of the United Church Circle and sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star Lodge.
Surviving are four daughters: Patricia Snider of Thunder Bay; Jean Beath in England; Margaret Wheatley and Shirley Bullock, both of Dryden; three sisters: Mrs. H. Wilkinson, Barclay; Mrs. Lucy Hanley; Mrs. Ruth Lawlis, Thunder Bay; 17 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William, February 2, 1974, and a daughter, Roberta, in 1970. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ARC Industries."
