George Sidney Sackett, son of Henry Sackett and Mary Anna MacNamara, was born at Camp Colorado, Coleman County, TexasG, on 22 July 1882.1 He died aged 75 at St John's Hospital, San Angelo, Tom Green County, TexasG, on 8 November 19572 and was buried at Coleman City CemeteryG.3 He married first before 1910, Zenobia Maud Head, daughter of William Head and J A Bogart. Zenobia was born in Coleman, TexasG, on 9 January 1885.1 She died aged 27 in Burnett, Coleman CountyG, on 17 May 1912.4 He married second after 1920, Elzora Hardwick, daughter of John Hardwick and Katie Stowers.5 Elzora was born in TexasG on 25 December 1892.1 She died aged 79 at Shannon Hospital, San Angelo, Tom Green County, TexasG, on 12 May 1972.6
     In 1900 George was living at Center Avenue, Brownwood, Brown County, TexasG, in the household of his mother Mary, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, at school, aged 17 and born in Texas.7
     In 1910 he was living at Justice Precinct 8, Coleman County, TexasG, and was recorded as George S Sackett, a farm laborer on a stock farm, head of household, aged 27. Living with him were his wife Maud, 24, and their unnamed son aged one month.8
     George completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 36 and was living at Star Route, Burkett, Coleman County, TexasG. He was a laborer on his father's farm.9
     In 1920 he was living at Justice Precinct 8, Coleman County, TexasG, in the household of his parents Henry and Mary, and was recorded as George Sackett, a farm laborer on the home farm, a widower, aged 37. His son Sidney, aged ten, was living with him.10
     In 1930 he was living at Old San Angelo Road, Precinct 1, Coleman County, TexasG, and was recorded as George S Sackett, a rancher, head of household, aged 46. Living with him were his second wife Ella, 32, and her three daughters aged twelve, ten, and nine.11
     George completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He stated his age as 55 but was actually 59. He was self-employed and was living in ColemanG.12
