Sidney Sackett, son of George Sidney Sackett and Zenobia Maud Head, was born in Coleman, TexasG, on 3 March 1910.1,2 He died aged 95 on 5 October 20053,4 and was buried at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Bell County, TexasG.1,5,6
     In 1910 Sidney was living at Justice Precinct 8, Coleman County, TexasG, in the household of his parents George and Maud, and was recorded in the census as Baby Sackett, aged one month and born in Texas.7
     In 1920 he was living at Justice Precinct 8, Coleman County, TexasG, and was recorded as Sidney Sackett, aged ten and born in Texas. He was living with his widowed father George in the household of George's parents Henry and Mary.8
     Sidney served in the US Army during the Second World War, enlisting at Fort Bliss, El Paso, TexasG, on 27 February 1942 and serving to 24 May 1946.9,4
