George Washington Brelsford, son of Daniel Brelsford and Nancy Hand, was born in Fletcher, Brown County, OhioG, on 18 March 1857.1 He died aged 70 on 23 August 1927.1 He married on 3 July 1881, Sarah Jane Vankirk.1 Sarah was born in Hampton, Franklin County, IowaG, on 28 May 1857.1 She died aged 91 on 12 September 1948.1
In 1900 George was living in Sugar Creek Township, Harrison County, MissouriG, and was recorded in the census as George W Brelsford, farmer, head of household, aged 43 and born in Ohio. He owned his home and farm on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Sarah, also 43, and their children, Clarence, 19, Gertrude, 14, Wava, 10, Ira, 6, Margaret, 4, and George, aged one.2
