Charles Theodore Sackett, farmer, son of Moses Sackett and Cordelia Lavina Fox, was born in ConnecticutG on 16 March 18221,2 and baptized at the Congregational Church of Christ, Warren, Litchfield CountyG, on 8 June 1828.3 He died on 1 November 1893.1 He married first on 15 November 1844, Laura A Baldwin.1 She died on 19 April 1845.1 He married second Phebe Baldwin. Phebe was born in OhioG in about 1828.4
In 1880 Charles was living at Oneida, Delaware County, IowaG, and was recorded in the census as Chas F Sackett, head of household, married, a farmer, aged 58 and born in Connecticut. The other members of his household were his wife Phebe, aged 52, born in Ohio, his sons Chas P, 29, Willis, 28, Lysander, 27, and Harry, 19, and his daughter Mary, 22. A Sarah B Sackett, aged 27 and whose parents were born in Prussia, was recorded as a daughter; she would be a daughter-in-law, the wife of Willis Sackett.4
