Laura Sackett, daughter of Charles Theodore Sackett and Phebe Baldwin, was born in Garnavillo, Clayton County, IowaG, in about 1855.1,2,3 She married at Delaware County, IowaG, after 1880, Charles Smith.
     In 1880 Laura was living in Oneida, Delaware County, IowaG, and was recorded in the census as Laura Sackett, aged 25 and born in Iowa, a servant in the household of farmer George Simpson.3
