Hannah Sackett

(c 1725-1804)
FatherJohn Sackett (1699-1780)
MotherHannah Smith (c 1701-1776)
Hannah Sackett, daughter of John Sackett and Hannah Smith, was born in New Haven, ConnecticutG, in about 1725.1 She was baptized as an adult at the First Congregational Society, New HavenG, on 30 August 1761.2,3 She died aged 79 in New HavenG on 14 March 1804.2,4
Weygant, The Sacketts of America, states that Hannah married Benjamin Richmond. That marriage is recorded to have taken place at the First Congregational Church, Killingworth, ConnecticutG, on 17 September 1747, followed by Hannah's admission to that church a few weeks later on 11 October. But attributing the marriage to this Hannah conflicts with the records for an adult baptism in 1761 and a death in 1804 in New Haven, both in the name Sackett, not Richmond. Another candidate for the marriage record (or for the other records) has not been found.1,5,6
