Jonathan Sacket, son of Jonathan Sacket and Anne Filer, was born in Hebron, Tolland County, ConnecticutG, on 26 December 1727.1,2 He died aged 49 in Warren, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 3 April 17772 and was buried at the Old Cemetery, WarrenG.3 He married at HebronG on 10 November 1748, Hannah Phelps, daughter of Noah Phelps and Ann Dyer.2,4 Hannah was born in HebronG on 28 February 1726/27. She died in 1803.2
     Jonathan was a founding, covenanting, member of the Congregational Church in Warren, attending the first "gathering" of the new church, held on 22 September 1756, probably at his father's home. His wife Hannah also "owned the covenant" by the end of that year. She was admitted to the church in Warren by letter from Hebron on 2 January 1757. Jonathan and Hannah were recorded in Warren church records as members in full communion in the Church of Christ, East Greenwich, on 29 June 1757 and 18 March 1772.5,6,7
     Jonathan was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Kent, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 12 June 1772. He was left £3 to be paid to him by his brother Justus and £4 to be paid to him by his brother Reuben. Jonathan's father had already left land to him in 1749, soon after his marriage.8
