Lydia A Nelson, daughter of Horace Nelson and Charlotte Sacket, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in about 1825.1 She married in WestfieldG on 2 December 1858, Phil Bushnell, a farmer, son of Dan Bushnell.2 Phil was born in Westbrook, Middlesex County, ConnecticutG, in about 1815.1
Lydia was named as a beneficiary in her father's will made in WestfieldG on 10 February 1841 and proved at the Springfield Probate Court on 1 March 1842. She was left a sum of $100 and was to share equally with her sister Olive the household furniture after their mother's lifetime interest.3
