Julia Josephine Whipple, daughter of Capt. George Whipple and Henrietta Sackett, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 26 May 1838.1,2 She died aged 80 on 29 December 1918 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.3 She married in WestfieldG on 7 November 1867, Dwight Kellogg, son of Alva Kellogg and Eliza ___.4 Dwight was born in WestfieldG in about 1839.1
     Julia was named as a beneficiary in the will of her grandfather Warham Sackett made in WestfieldG on 28 July 1853. She was to inherit, with her sister Eugenia, the household furniture after Warham's widow Eunice's death.5
     Julia was named as a beneficiary in the will of her great-aunt Harriet Sacket made in WestfieldG on 29 October 1849. She was left a sum of $25 but, following Harriet's death some years later in 1875 and the realisation of her assets, the sum actually inherited was $62.50.5
