Charles Stratton, son of Charles William Stratton and Lavinia Sackett, was born in Islington, MiddlesexG, on 4 October 18351 and baptized at St John, Hoxton, Hackney, MiddlesexG, on 17 March 1839.2 He died aged 62 in West Ham, EssexG, in 1898.3 He married at St James, Shoreditch, MiddlesexG, on 27 May 1855, Ann Pritchard, daughter of Peter Pritchard.4
     In 1841 Charles was living at Baldwin Street, Finsbury, MiddlesexG, in the household of his parents Charles and Lavinia, and was recorded in the census as Charles Stratton, aged five and born in Middlesex.5
     In 1851 he was living at 3 Ebenezer Buildings, Hoxton Old Town, MiddlesexG, in the household of his parents Charles and Lavinia, and was recorded as Charles Stratton, a house painter, aged 15 and born in Islington.6
