Emma Adams, daughter of Frederick Hogbin Adams and Emma Stark, was born in Monkton, KentG, on 17 November 1865.1 She married in Marden, KentG, on 29 August 1888, George Edgar Hook, son of George Hook and Frances Jane Lindridge.1
In 1871 Herbert, Edward, Emma, Alfred and Arthur was living at the New Inn, Monkton Street, MonktonG, in the household of her parents Frederick and Emma, and was recorded in the census as Emma Adams, a scholar, aged five and born in Sarre.2
In 1881 she was living at the New Inn, Main Road, MonktonG, in the household of her widowed mother Emma, and was recorded as Emma Adams, aged 15 and born in Sarre.3
Emma emigrated to CanadaG with her husband George and children, Ida, Olive, and Arthur. They left from Liverpool on the Empress of Ireland and arrived at St John, New Brunswick on 25 April 1913.4
