Nellie May Read, daughter of Thomas Read and Emma Hannah Sackett, was born in Margate, KentG, in 1885.1
     In 1901 Nellie was living at 12 Milton Road, MargateG, in the household of her parents Thomas and Emma, and was recorded in the census as Nellie Read, aged 15 and born in Margate.2
     In 1911 she was living at 29 Marine Terrace, MargateG, in the household of her half-sister Beatrice and brother-in-law William Robinson, and was recorded as Ellen May Read, aged 23 and born in Margate.3
