Cecilia Simms, daughter of James Simms and Amelia Violet Muriel Sackett, was born in Holborn, LondonG, on 21 December 1921.1 She died aged 79 in DurhamG on 29 May 2001.2,3 She married at St Albans, HertfordshireG, in 1948, Kenneth Robertshaw.4
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Cecilia was living at 48 Heath Road, St Albans, HertfordshireG, in the household of her widowed mother Amelia. Cecilia was then aged 17 and was employed as a folding machine operator at a printing firm.5
