Mariam Sackett, daughter of Mark Sackett and Sarah "Sally" Heald, was born in OhioG on 22 March 1833.1,2,3 She died aged 52 on 29 March 1885 and was buried at Phillipsville Union Cemetery, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG.5 She married about 1849, Casper R Titus.4 Casper was born in PennsylvaniaG on 8 December 1830.1,6 He died aged 70 on 12 December 1900 and was buried at Phillipsville Union CemeteryG.7
In 1850 Mariam was living in Venango, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her husband Casper, 19, a laborer, and was recorded in the census as Mariam Titus, aged 17 and born in Ohio. Living with them was their daughter Sarah, aged six months.8
In 1860 she was living in Amity, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her husband C R Titus, 29, a farmer, and was recorded as Mariam Titus, aged 25. Living with them were their children, Sarah, 10, Miranda, 8, Emily, 6, Cornelia, 4, and Wilson, aged one.9
In 1870 she was living in Venango, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her husband Casper, 39, a farmer, and was recorded as Marion Titus, aged 36 and born in Ohio. Living with them were their children, Emily, 17, Cornelia, 14, Wilson, 11, Edwin, 9, Ida, 6, George, 4, and Gertie, aged one.10
In 1880 she was living in Venango, Erie County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her husband Casper, 49, a farmer, and was recorded as Mary M [sic] Titus, aged 45. Living with them were their children, Edwin, 18, George, 13, Gertrude, 11, and Freddy, aged eight.11
