George Elmer Sackett, son of Alzerah S Sackett and Sarah Ann Harbaugh, was born in Osceola, Fond du Lac County, WisconsinG, on 12 June 1861.1 He died aged 89 in Phillips, Price County, WisconsinG, on 17 December 1950.1 He married in Waucousta, Fond du Lac CountyG, on 17 June 1886, Kate E Devens, daughter of James E Devens and Mary Ann Chambers.1
In 1870 George was living in OsceolaG in the household of his widowed mother Sarah, and was recorded in the census as George Sacket, aged nine and born in Wisconsin.2
In 1880 George was living in Phillips, Price County, WisconsinG, in the household of his brother Freeman and sister-in-law Emma, and was recorded in the census as George E Sackett, a printer, aged 18 and born in Wisconsin.3
