Lester Edwin Sackett, son of Robert Nathaniel Sackett and Anetta Eva Hopkins, was born in Brookings, Brookings County, South DakotaG, on 7 September 1893.1 He died aged 85 in Olmsted County, MinnesotaG, on 11 June 1979.1 He married Loretta Helen Schultz.1
     Lester completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 23 and was a self-employed farmer. He was living in Simpson, Olmsted CountyG, and was married with three children.2
