Homer DeForest Sackett, son of Robert Nathaniel Sackett and Anetta Eva "Nettie" Hopkins, was born in Stewartville, Olmsted County, MinnesotaG, on 11 August 1884.1 He died aged 85 in Wabasha County, MinnesotaG, on 4 September 1969.2 He married first Helen Brewster.2 He married second Lua Dormandy.2
     In 1900 Homer was living at Pleasant Grove, Olmsted County, MinnesotaG, in the household of his parents Robert and Nettie, and was recorded in the census as Homer D Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 14 and born in Minnesota.3
     Homer completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 34 and was a farmer. He was living in Stewartville, Olmsted CountyG, with his wife Helen.1
