George T Sackett, son of William Sackett and Ruth Ann Bevis, was born in New York StateG in about 1860.2 He married between 1880 and 1885, ___ ___.
     In 1880 George was living in Glenville, Westchester County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents William and Ruth, and was recorded in the census as George T Sackett, a druggist, single, aged 19 and born in New York.2
     George visited Scotland in 1885, returning to New York from Glasgow on 28 September 1885. He was accompanied by his wife, whose name is not known, but whose origin was given as England in the passenger list.3,4
