Charles M Whipple, son of Capt. George Whipple and Henrietta Sackett, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 11 December 1828.1 He died aged 79 at 16 Washington Street, WestfieldG, on 12 July 19082 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.1 He married first in Easthampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 29 October 1857, Mary S Egleston.3 Mary was born in WestfieldG in about 1836.4 He married second in Boston, Suffolk County, MassachusettsG, on 25 October 1870, Mary E Hickey, daughter of Patrick Hickey and Ellen ___.5 Mary was born in Southampton, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, in about 1842.4 He married third in WestfieldG on 18 May 1878, Annie M Sullivan.6 Annie was born in WestfieldG in about 1847.4
Charles was named as a beneficiary in the will of his great-aunt Harriet Sacket made in WestfieldG on 29 October 1849. He was left a sum of $25 but, following Harriet's death some years later in 1875 and the realisation of her assets, the sum actually inherited was $62.50.7
