Dorothy Annie Sackett, daughter of Thomas Sackett and Annie Ward, was born in Hove, SussexG, in 1904.1,2 She married in HoveG in 1936, Herbert W G Cox.3,4
     In 1911 Dorothy was living at 36 Landsen Road, HoveG, in the household of her parents Thomas and Annie, and was recorded in the census as Dorothy Annie Sackett, aged six and born in Hove.5
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Herbert and Dorothy were living at 36 Landseer Road, Hove, SussexG. Herbert was a painter engineer. Dorothy's widowed mother Annie was living with them.6
