Lavinia Sackett, daughter of Samuel Smith Sackett and Mary Ann Wood, was born in Marylebone, MiddlesexG, on 14 April 18151 and baptized at St Mary le Bone ChurchG on 30 July 1815.2 She died aged 51 in Shoreditch, MiddlesexG,3 and was buried at Victoria Park Cemetery, Hackney, MiddlesexG, on 11 August 1866.4 She married at St Leonard's Church, Shoreditch, MiddlesexG, on 7 June 1835, Charles William Stratton, son of William Stratton and Eliza Camp.5 Charles was born in MiddlesexG on 29 January 18096 and baptized at St Luke Old Street, Finsbury, LondonG, on 26 February 1809.7 He died aged 70 at the Bethnal Asylum, Bethnal Green, LondonG, on 13 July 1879 having been admitted as a patient on the preceding 28 June.8
     In 1841 Lavinia was living at Baldwin Street, Finsbury, MiddlesexG, in the household of her husband Charles Stratton, 31, a painter, and was recorded in the census as Lavinia Stratton, aged 25 and born in Middlesex. Living with them were their children, Charles, 5, William, 2, and Lavinia, aged four months.9
     In 1851 she was living at 3 Ebenezer Buildings, Hoxton Old Town, MiddlesexG, in the household of her husband Charles Stratton, 42, a house painter, and was recorded as Lavinia Stratton, aged 36 and born in Marylebone. Living with them were their children, Charles, 15, William, 12, Lavinia, 9?, Eliza, 7, Harriett, 5, Henry, 3, and Sophia, aged six months.10
