Bela Remington, son of Joseph Remington and Amanda Sackett, was born in Yorkshire, Cattaraugus County, New York StateG, on 28 May 1828.1 He died aged 75 in Ashford, Cattaraugus CountyG, on 8 January 19041 and was buried at Riceville Cemetery, West Valley, Cattaraugus CountyG.2 He married in 1851, Sophia Bowen.2
