Jabez Chase, son of Samuel Gilman Chase and Ursula Sackett, was born in Mead Township, Crawford County, PennsylvaniaG, in about 1831.1,2 He died aged about 73 in Venango County, PennsylvaniaG, in 1904 and was buried at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery, Pleasantville, Venango CountyG.3 He married in Crawford CountyG in about 1854, Sarah L Goodrich.2
     In 1850 Jabez was living in Mead, Crawford CountyG, in the household of his parents Samuel and Ursula, and was recorded in the census as Jabes Chase, a farmer, aged 19 and born in Pennsylvania.4
