Howard Mortimer Sackett, son of Amos Mead Sackett and Sarah Elisabeth Adeline Mead, was born on 21 September 1851.1 He died aged 49 on 5 March 1901.1
     In 1860 Howard was living in New York CityG in the household of his parents Amos and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Howard Sackett, aged eight and born in New York.2
     Howard was named as a beneficiary in the will of his mother Sarah made in New York CityG on 18 June 1889. He was described in the will as an invalid and his financial needs were to be met from the income of his mother's estate under a trust in the control of his brother States.3
