Frederick Gould Sackett, son of Marvin Sackett and Julia Belendiva Goold, was born in West Lebanon, Columbia County, New York StateG, on 3 August 1859.1,2,3 He married Mary Jane Marshall, daughter of George W Marshall and Clara G ___.1 Mary was born in New York StateG in September 1863.2 She died in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, MassachusettsG, on 14 May 1914 and was buried at West Lebanon Cemetery, Columbia CountyG.4
In 1860 Frederick was living in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Marvin and Julia, and was recorded in the census as Frederick G Sackett, aged ten months and born in New York.5
In 1870 he was living in New LebanonG in the household of his parents Marvin and Julia, and was recorded as Frederick G Sackett, aged ten.6
In 1880 he was living in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Marvin and Julia, and was recorded as Fredrick G Sackett, aged 20 and born in New York. He was working on the family farm.7
In 1900 he was living in New LebanonG and was recorded as Fred G Sackett, a day laborer, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Mary, 36, and their children, Maud, 15, Eva, 7, and Edna, aged two.8
Frederick's father Marvin provided in his will made at New LebanonG on 27 September 1901 that $1,000 be set aside to "buy a place" for Frederick's heirs. Frederick was not named as a direct heir of his father's estate and it may be that he had received land or other assets during his father's lifetime.9

Mrs. Mary Sackett, aged 45 years, wife of Frederick Sackett of West Lebanon, N, Y., died this morning at the House of Mercy hospital. She was a native of Brainard, N. Y., and had resided in West Lebanon for some time. She came to this city Tuesday and underwent a serious operation at the hospital yesterday. Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, the Misses Maud, Eva and Edna Sackett, and her father, George Marshall, all of West Lebanon.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from the home of her father and burial will be in Went Lebanon.
