Francis Robert Sackett, shipwright, of Shoreditch, Middlesex, son of Francis Sackett and Sarah Walker, was born in Marygold Street, Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 11 April 18251 and baptized at St Mary's Church, Rotherhithe, SurreyG, on 15 May 1825.2 He died aged 40 in RotherhitheG in 1865.3 He married in St Thomas' Church, Stepney, MiddlesexG, on 2 May 1853, Sarah Williamson Weightman, daughter of John Williamson Weightman.4,5
     In 1841 Francis was living at Upper Matilda Place, St Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, SurreyG, in the household of his parents Francis and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Francis Sackett, an apprentice shipwright, aged 17 [actually 16] and born in Surrey.6
     In 1851 he was living at 26 Albert Street, St.Paul's, Tower Hamlets, Shoreditch, MiddlesexG, and was recorded as Francis Sackett, a shipwright, unmarried, aged 24 [actually 25] and born in Bermondsey, the son of Francis Sackett.7
