Mary Sackett, daughter of Captain Norman Sackett and Esther Waterman, was born in New York StateG on 18 February 1827.1 She died on 3 February 1890.1 She married on 5 December 1850, Dr Henry W Drowne.1 Henry was born in New York StateG in 18142,3 and died aged about 61 in 1875.2
     In 1850 Mary was living in New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York StateG, in the household of her parents Norman and Esther, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sackett, aged 22 and born in New York. Mary's future husband Dr Harry Drown, 36, was also in the household.4
