Austin Sackett, son of Austin Sackett and Charlotte Hayes, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, in about 1838.1,2 He died aged 78 on 16 April 1917 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.3 He married there on 27 November 1862, Marcia J Tourtellotte, daughter of Smith Tourtelott and Maria ___.4
     In 1870 Austin was living at Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as Austin Sackett Jr, a tinner, aged 32, and born in Massachusetts. Living with him was his wife Marshia, aged 25, and born in New York.5
