Lieutenant John James Sackett, son of Lemuel Sacket and Mary Millar, was born on 17 February 1833.1 He died aged 29 in Cincinnati, OhioG, on 1 January 1863.1,2 He married in about 1858, Esther Stevens.1
     Lieutenant Sackett served the Union in the American Civil War in the 22nd Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He died in the service.3,2
