Polly Brass, daughter of Henry Brass and Mercy Sacket, was born in about 1787 and baptized at Chester, Hampden CountyG, on 24 August 1794.1 She died aged about 83 in Westfield, Hampden CountyG, on 6 December 1870 and was buried at Old Burying Ground, WestfieldG.2 She married at First Church, WestfieldG, on 31 March 1808, Russel Sackett, son of Gad Sacket and Lucy Williams.3,4,5,6 Russel and Polly were first cousins once removed, Russel's father Gad Sacket and Polly's grandfather Ozem Sacket being brothers.
     Polly was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in WestfieldG.7
     Polly was named as a beneficiary in her uncle Ozem Sacket's will made in WestfieldG on 13 March 1846. She was to receive a share calculated in the proportion of $25 of the estimated $2,300 total land value.8
     In 1850 Polly was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as Polly Sacket, aged 60, and born in Massachusetts. Living with her were her children, Mercy, 36, and Charles, 27, and a William Sacket, aged eleven.9,10
     In 1860 she was living in WestfieldG in the household of her son Roland, and was recorded as Polly Sacket, houseworker, aged 72, and born in Massachusetts.11
     In 1870 she was living in WestfieldG in the household of her daughter Mercy, and was recorded as Polla Sackett, aged 83.12
