Robert William Sackett, son of Percy Ernest Sackett and Rose (Hoare) Harlow, was born in Canterbury, KentG, in 19081 and baptized at St Mildred, CanterburyG, on 22 December 1908.2 He died aged 56 in CanterburyG in 1964.3 He married in CanterburyG in 1937, Emily Elaine Carey, daughter of ___ Wetson.4,5 Emily was born in CanterburyG on 10 March 19166,7 and died there aged 63 in 1979.8
     In 1911 Robert was living at 3 New Ruttington Lane, Canterbury, KentG, in the household of his widowed mother Rose, and was recorded in the census as Robert William Sackett, aged two and born in Canterbury.9
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Robert's wife Emily was living at 51 St Gregory's Road, CanterburyG, in a Carey household, probably her mother and grandfather.10
