Percy Ernest Sackett, son of Percy Ernest Sackett and Rose (Hoare) Harlow, was born in Bridge, KentG, on 22 April 19041,2 and baptized at St Mildred, Canterbury, KentG, on 1 February 1907.3 He died aged 75 in CanterburyG in 1979.2 He married at St Alphege, CanterburyG, on 15 March 1927, Patience Lewis, daughter of Thomas Lewis and ___ Wood.4,5,6 Patience was born in Dover, KentG, on 1 September 19077 and died aged 72 in CanterburyG in 1980.8
     In 1911 Percy was living at 3 New Ruttington Lane, Canterbury, KentG, in the household of his widowed mother Rose, and was recorded in the census as Percy Ernest Sackett, a schoolboy, aged seven and born in Canterbury.9
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Percy and Patience were living at 20 St Gregory's Road, CanterburyG. Percy was a lorry driver employed by the government.10
