Ebenezer Buel Sackett, hatter, son of Lieutenant Elijah Sacket and Dorothy Hitchcock, was born in Hartford, New JerseyG, on 2 December 1803.1,2 He died aged 63 in Columbus, Franklin County, OhioG, on 5 November 1867.1 He married on 29 July 1828, Emily Taylor.1
     Ebenezer was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in Champion, Jefferson County, New York StateG.3 In 1840 he was a householder in Ridgway, Orleans County, New York StateG.4
[Ebenezer Sackett] resided and kept a hatshop at Champion after his marriage until 1840, when he removed to and spent the remaining years of his life at Columbus, O.
