Lieut Martin Sacket, son of Moses Sacket and Eunice Cadwell, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 23 December 1776.1,2,3 He died on 12 June 1862.4 He married at West Springfield, MassachusettsG, on 11 January 1802, Miriam Bancroft, 1782-1876, daughter of Isaac Bancroft and Mary Barrett.4
     Martin Sacket served in a Chenango County militia company during the war of 1812. He was commissioned First Lieutenant in the 12th Regiment, New York State Artillery, in 1816.
