Asher Sacket, son of Daniel Sacket and Mary Weller, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 13 April 17481,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 17 April 1748.4 He died aged 82 in WestfieldG on 24 July 18305,6,7 and was buried at the Old Burying Ground, WestfieldG.8 He married in WestfieldG on 17 September 1772, Sarah Kellogg, daughter of Samuel Kellogg and Mary Nash, and sister of Rhoda Kellogg who married Asher's brother Abner.1,9,10
     In 1790 Asher was living in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG. In his household were one man, four boys, and four females.11
     Asher was listed in the census in 1800, 1810, and 1820 as a householder in WestfieldG.12,13,14

185. Asher Sacket, 1748–1830, of Westfield, Mass., son of (41) Israel Sacket [note], was married in 1772 to Sarah Kellogg. He served in the War of the Revolution in Capt. Daniel Sacket's Company of Col. John Moseley's Hampshire County Regiment. The official state records show that he enlisted Oct. 21, 1776, and marched with his regiment, under Lieut. Colonel Timothy Robinson, to reinforce the Northern Army. The muster toll, giving date of his enlistment, is dated at Westfield.
[Note: Asher was a son of (35) Daniel and Mary Weller Sacket.]
