Sackett Wood, yeoman of Street, St John in Thanet, son of Thomas Wood and Hannah Sackett, was born in Ash next Sandwich, KentG, in about January 1751/521 and baptized at St Nicholas, Ash next SandwichG, on 30 January 1751/52.2 He died aged 66 and was buried at St NicholasG on 4 May 1818.3 He married in St Nicholas, Ash next Sandwich, KentG, on 1 December 1783, Frances Baker.4
     Sackett was named as a beneficiary in his uncle John Sackett's will made in St John in ThanetG on 10 February 1764.5
     Sackett Wood was appointed a trustee, with John Abbott, of the will of his cousin Richard Sackett made on 4 August 1789. The trustees were charged with the management of all Richard's substantial estates until Sarah, Richard's granddaughter, who was the main beneficiary, had reached 21 years of age.1
     Sackett Wood supervised the winding up of his brother John Wood's financial affairs following John's death in 1811, also arranging the sale of John's house and furniture.6
     Sackett Wood left a will of which his wife Frances was the executrix.7
