William Sackett, yeoman of Thanet, Kent, son of John Sackett and Ann/Agnes Sampson, was born on 1 January 1593/94 and baptized at St Peter in ThanetG on 5 January 1593/94.1 He died aged about 86 and was buried at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 21 September 1679.2 He married at St Peter in ThanetG on 28 September 1618, Ellen Sampson, daughter of Stephen Sampson.3,4 Ellen was baptized at St Lawrence in ThanetG on 25 May 1600.5 She died aged about 596 and was buried there on 2 August 1659.6
     William was a churchwarden at St Peter in ThanetG in 1621.7
     William was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made at St Peter in ThanetG on 8 February 1623/24.8 He was left the farm and lands upon which his father had lived at St Peter, together with other tenements and lands.
     William was named as a beneficiary in his mother's will made at Swalecliffe, KentG, on 31 January 1630/31.9 He was left a sum of five shillings.
     William was named in his sister Marie's will made in Birchington, KentG, on 14 October 1656.10
     William was named as a beneficiary in his brother John's will made at Great MongehamG in 1664. He was left a sum of forty shillings a year for life.11
