Benjamin Rogers, son of ___ Rogers and ___ Price, was born in Bedwellty, MonmouthshireG, on 4 May 1891.1,2 He died aged 52 in June 1943 and was buried at Brynmawr CemeteryG on 30 June 1943.4,5 He married in Bedwellty, MonmouthshireG, in 1923, Laura Jones, daughter of James Jones and Mary Evans.3
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Benjamin was living at 15 Bryn View, NantygloG, with his wife Laura.6

     The death has occurred of Mr. Ben Rogers, of 15, Bryn View, Nantyglo, at the age of 52. Mr. Rogers, who was well known, had worked at the Rose Heyworth Colliery since boyhood and was one of the representatives of the colliery on the Blaina and District Hospital Board of Management. He was keenly interested in music and the drama, and is survived by a widow and one son.
     The funeral took place at Brynmawr Cemetery on Wednesday with Rev. W. T. Hughes, D.Litt., officiating.
     The mourners were: Messrs. Islwyn Rogers, son; William Rogers, Sam Rogers, and Pryce Rogers, brothers; J. Dimmick, W. Sutton, W. Watkins, E. Jones, brothers-in-law; J. Dimmick, R. Watkins, G. Watkins, A. Evans, S. Werrett, and Sergt. Major Williams, nephews; J. Parry, D. Evans, G. Landman, J. Williams, cousins.
     The bearers were Messrs. R. Carne, D. Prout, F. Webb, H. Rosser, P. Micklin, L. Thomas, T. Vaughan.
     At the house were: Mrs. Rogers, widow; Mesdames M. Townsend, and M. Dimmick, sisters; S. Rogers, P. Rogers, W. Sutton, W. Matthews, E. Jones, W. Paynter, sisters-in-law; Mr. W. Paynter, brother-in-law; Mesdames D. Evans, L. Williams, W. Werrett, N. Watkins, C. Watkins, Mair Evans, nieces; A. Vaughan, C. Hartshorn, J. A. Havard, and C. Evans.
