Alfred Henry Hooper, son of John Hender Hooper and Emily Mercy Lawrence, was born in 1911.1 He died in 1988.1 He married first in 1934, Naomi Byrne.1 He married second in 1955, Florence Mercy Feavearyear, his first cousin, daughter of George Noah Feavearyear and Florence Mabel Lawrence.1
Alfred and Florence lived in Sydney for five years following their marriage, then moved to Tasmania.1
Alfred won a number of trophies for his tenor horn playing. He later played the French horn in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in Australia and the Covent Garden and BBC Orchestras in London.1
