Claude Thomas Sackett, son of Lucious Harrison Sackett and Laura Alice Williams, was born in Pleasant Hill, Pike County, IllinoisG, on 11 January 1891.1 He died aged 58 in Pike CountyG on 13 May 1949.1 He married in Pike CountyG on 17 September 1913, Cora Lulu Franklin, daughter of Marshall Nathan Franklin and Hattie Rose Harlow.2 They divorced sometime before June 1922 when Cora married Claude's cousin Mert Sellwyn Sackett. Cora was born in Nebo, Pike County, IllinoisG, on 27 April 1893.1 She died aged 91 in Pittsfield, Pike CountyG, on 12 August 1984 and was buried at Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry, Pike CountyG.3
     In 1900 Claude was living at Pleasant Hill, Pike County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents Lucious and Alice, and was recorded in the census as Claude Sackett, aged nine and born in Illinois.4
     In 1910 he was living in Martinsburg, Pike CountyG, in the household of his parents Lucious and Alice, and was recorded as Claude Sackett, aged 19.5 Claude was enumerated twice in the 1910 census. He was also listed as Claude Sacket, a farm laborer, aged 20, living in the household of a friend, Harvey Harlow, a farmer, at Pleasant HillG.6
     Claude completed a World War I draft registration card on 24 August 1918 at La Crosse City, Wisconsin. He was aged 27 and was an unemployed laborer. He was living at Pleasant HillG and had a dependent wife and child.7
     In 1920 he was living at Spring Valley, McCook County, South DakotaG, and was recorded as Claud T Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 28 and single. He was living in the household of Charley J Mulloy, 28, a farmer, and working on Mulloy's farm.8
     In 1920 Cora, aged 25, was living at Rockport Road, Pleasant HillG, with her children, Russell, 8, Lacey, 5, and Anna Belle, aged one. Cora described herself as widowed.9
     In 1930 Claude was living at Pleasant HillG in the household of his widowed mother Laura, and was recorded in the census as Claude Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 38, divorced.10
     Claude completed a World War II draft registration card on 27 April 1942. He was aged 53 and was employed by Harry Scroggins at Alzada, Carter County, MontanaG. He was re-registered at Sundance, Crook County, Wyoming on 7 May 1942.11
