Jessie Sacofsky, daughter of Louis Sacofsky and Rose/Florence Frankel, was born in RussiaG on 15 September 1894.1,2 She changed her name to Sackett after immigrating to the United States. She died aged 86 in New York CityG in February 1981.3 She married in the Bronx, New York City, New York StateG, on 10 June 1919, Herman M Greenman, son of Max Greenman and Gussie Rosenthal.4,5 Herman was born in New York StateG in about 1894.1
     In 1900 Jessie was living at Watkins Street, Brooklyn, New York CityG, in the household of her parents Louis and Rose, and was recorded in the census as Jessie Sacofsky, aged seven and born in Russia.6
     In 1905 she was living at Stone Avenue, Brooklyn, New York CityG, in the household of her parents Louis and Rose, and was recorded as Jessie Sacofsky, a schoolgirl, aged eleven.7
     Jessie was listed in the Bridgeport, Connecticut, directories of 1919 and 1920 at her father's address at 216 James, BridgeportG.8
     In 1920 she was living at Pitkin Avenue, Brooklyn, New York CityG, in the household of her husband Herman, 26, proprietor of a hardware store, and was recorded as Jesse Greenman, aged 24.9
     In 1930 she was living at 47th Street, Queens, New York CityG, in the household of her husband Herman, 35, a hardware business owner, and was recorded as Jessie Greenman, aged 34. Living with them was their son Milton, aged nine.10
     In 1940 she was living at 48th Avenue, Queens County, New York StateG, in the household of her brother Harry and sister-in-law Gussie, and was recorded as Jessie Greenman, aged 44.11
