Rufus James Lasyone, son of John Bennett Lasyone and Mary E Sackett, was born in Grant Parish, LouisianaG, in February 1881.1 He died aged 64 in Winnfield, Winn Parish, LouisianaG, on 6 December 1945.2
     In 1900 Rufus was living in Grant Parish, LouisianaG, in the household of his parents John and Mary, and was recorded in the census as Rufus Lasyone, a farm laborer, aged 19 and born in Louisiana.3
